-
Featuring a dynamic range of up to 125 dB, it enables precise measurements of devices with high suppression ratios;
-
Optionally available 75Ω test port impedance for 3656A, enabling cable TV component measurements;
-
The 3656A/B/D comes with a four-port option, enabling the simultaneous measurement of all 16 S-parameters for a four-port network in a single connection—and also supporting balanced parameter measurements. Note: The 3656A/B four-port option is implemented via the external unit 2813A.
-
Lower trace noise enables the network analyzer to achieve higher measurement accuracy;
-
Offering up to 64 independent measurement channels for rapidly executing complex test protocols;
-
Powerful data analysis capabilities, such as ripple testing, bandwidth testing, and stress testing, enable users to easily perform pass/fail assessments and significantly enhance testing efficiency.
-
Standard time-domain analysis functionality included;
-
The fixture simulator can replicate various measurement scenarios in scientific research and production, providing quick, real-time access to the corresponding measurement results.
-
Equipped with LAN and GPIB interfaces for remote control and system interconnection, it also features four USB ports.
Wide Dynamic Range
Featuring a dynamic range of up to 125 dB (IFBW = 10 Hz), it enables precise measurements of devices with high suppression ratios.
Lower trace noise
3656A/B/D features low trace noise, which will effectively reduce measurement errors.
Time-domain analysis function
Using time-domain software features allows for time-domain measurements of the device under test, enabling a comprehensive evaluation of its performance metrics—such as locating cable fault points and measuring cable length.
Powerful data analysis capabilities
It features a variety of analysis functions, including limit testing, ripple testing, bandwidth testing, and automatic filter statistics, providing a clear overview of losses, ripples, and suppression levels—while also making it easy to fine-tune frequency-hopping filters.
Typical applications
Mobile Communication Product Manufacturing Testing
The 3656A/B Vector Network Analyzer's frequency range perfectly meets the production testing needs of mobile communication products, featuring fast scanning speeds, a wide dynamic range, and a compact design—making it ideal for high-volume production testing in manufacturing environments. It can be used to test RF components such as filters, amplifiers, antennas, and cables, and optionally includes 75Ω test components for performance measurements of cable TV equipment.
Passive Multi-Port and Balanced Device Testing
The 3656A/B Vector Network Analyzer, combined with the 2813A S-parameter test setup, forms a four-port vector network analyzer that can measure all 16 S-parameters of a four-port network in a single connection. This setup is ideally suited for high-volume production testing of multi-port devices in manufacturing environments. Additionally, it features balanced parameter measurement capabilities: by using either three or four test ports and performing full three-port or four-port calibration, users can select the appropriate operating mode (single-ended-to-balanced network, single-ended-to-single-ended-to-balanced network, or balanced-to-balanced network) to accurately obtain the hybrid S-parameters of balanced devices.
