Wide-frequency coverage
The 1435A/B/C/D/F signal generators offer frequency ranges from 9 kHz to 3 GHz / 6 GHz / 12 GHz / 20 GHz / 40 GHz, with the lowest frequency in the series starting as low as 9 kHz and the highest reaching up to 40 GHz—making them ideal for wideband testing applications.
High output power
By optionally equipping the H08 high-power output module, the 1435A/B/C/D models achieve measured full-band power levels consistently above 20 dBm, while the 1435F model delivers full-band power readings exceeding 17 dBm. In test scenarios requiring high-power excitation signals, the 1435 can deliver the necessary test signals without the need for an external amplifier.
Excellent single-sideband phase noise
The 1435 series signal generator offers users two levels of phase noise to choose from. It comes standard with a measured single-sideband phase noise of -101 dBc/Hz (10 GHz @ 10 kHz), and when the low-phase-noise option is selected, the single-sideband phase noise can be as low as -116 dBc/Hz (10 GHz @ 10 kHz). Users can select the phase noise level that best meets their specific requirements, ensuring excellent value for money.
Fast frequency switching
The 1435 enables rapid frequency switching across the entire band, with a measured switching time of just 0.67 ms—perfectly suited for high-speed testing requirements.
High-performance pulse modulation
The pulse switch features a ratio greater than 80 dB and rise/fall times shorter than 10 ns. For this application, select the narrow-pulse option H04, which offers a minimum pulse width of 20 ns, with a pulse width range spanning from 20 ns down to 10 ns in 10-ns steps. It supports multiple trigger modes, including gated and external triggering, and is equipped with the pulse-string functionality essential for radar testing.
Multifunction Function Generator
The multifunctional function generator consists of 7 waveform generators, capable of producing AM/FM/ΦM modulation signals as well as low-frequency output signals. Two of the waveform generators can be internally combined to create dual-tone modulation signals for AM/FM/ΦM applications. Among these 7 waveform generators, there are 2 standard function generators, 1 dual-function generator, 1 sweep function generator, 2 noise generators, and 1 DC generator. The DC generator produces a stable DC level exclusively for use with low-frequency outputs. The sine wave generators cover a frequency range of 0.1 Hz to 10 MHz, while the triangle, square, sawtooth, and pulse waveforms span from 0.1 Hz up to 1 MHz, with a frequency resolution of 0.1 Hz.
Small in size and lightweight
Featuring a compact 3U-high portable chassis design, the device significantly reduces both weight and volume compared to desktop instruments—ranging from a maximum of 10.9 kg for the heaviest model in the series down to just 7.4 kg for the lightest model.
High-sensitivity LED touch screen
7-inch wide LED display with an 800x480 pixel resolution, clearly presenting instrument status information. The capacitive touchscreen features a custom-designed window interface for responsive and precise touch control. In addition to the touchscreen, the instrument can also be operated via panel buttons, a rotary knob with integrated return functionality, or by connecting an external keyboard and mouse—providing flexible, convenient options tailored to your preferences.
Typical applications
General Testing
The Model 1435 signal generator boasts comprehensive functionality, offering a wide frequency range from 9 kHz to 40 GHz. It supports analog modulation modes including AM, FM, ΦM, and PM, as well as both step-sweep and list-sweep capabilities, delivering exceptional performance. Thanks to its balanced design—combining superior performance with affordability and compact size—along with versatile optional features that can be freely customized, the 1435 finds extensive applications. Whether for educational testing or high-performance lab use, this versatile tool strikes the perfect balance between cost-effectiveness and cutting-edge capability.
Defense testing
1435 features high-performance pulse modulation, with a pulse modulation switch ratio exceeding 80 dB, rise and fall times shorter than 10 ns, and a minimum pulse width of 20 ns. It supports multiple pulse waveforms, including staggered repetition frequency, jittered repetition frequency, and pulse trains, making it ideal for radar system testing. Additionally, its outstanding phase noise performance makes it suitable for receiver testing. Compact in size and easy to carry, it’s perfectly designed for field-based testing applications.
Production Line Testing
The 1435 series signal generator features a frequency switching time of just 1 ms, enabling rapid testing and significantly reducing test duration—thus boosting overall efficiency to meet the demands of high-volume data testing. It delivers high power output, eliminating the need for an external power amplifier while saving both space and costs. Additionally, the device supports multiple control interfaces, including USB, LAN, and GPIB, making it easy to integrate into automated test systems. Perfectly suited for production-line testing.
